Planning your wedding entertainment should be simple and stress-free. Here are answers to some of the questions I’m most often asked about Wedding Disco Wales, including music, setup, booking, equipment and what to expect on your wedding day.

Absolutely. It’s your wedding, so the music should reflect you and your guests.

You’re welcome to send me a playlist or a selection of your favourite songs before the wedding. Around 20 must-play tracks is usually a great starting point, while still giving me the flexibility to read the dance floor and choose music that keeps everyone dancing.

Guest requests can also be taken on the night, as long as they fit with your preferences and the atmosphere you want for your wedding.

Of course. Your first dance, entrance music and any other special or must-play songs can be arranged with me in advance.

If there are particular songs or styles of music you definitely want – or anything you’d rather not hear – just let me know.

My wedding disco setup usually takes around 60–90 minutes.

I always allow plenty of time to set up the sound and lighting properly, carry out the necessary checks and make sure everything looks great before your evening reception begins.

For a typical evening wedding reception, I usually arrive around 1.5–2 hours before the agreed start time.

This gives me plenty of time to unload, set everything up properly, carry out sound checks and make sure everything is ready before the evening celebrations begin.

Wedding Disco Wales is based in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan and provides professional wedding DJ entertainment throughout Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan, Caerphilly and surrounding areas of South Wales.

I’ve performed at many fantastic wedding venues across South Wales, including Shappelles, De Courceys Manor, Hensol Castle, Vale Resort, Llanerch Vineyard, Cardiff Castle and many more.

If I haven’t worked at your particular venue before, that’s absolutely fine. I’ll make sure everything required for your evening is planned in advance.

I use professional-quality sound and lighting equipment selected specifically to provide a great-looking and great-sounding wedding setup.

My equipment includes professional RCF sound, moving-head lighting, disco effects and optional mood lighting/uplighting.

The setup is designed to look smart and professional while providing excellent sound and a fantastic atmosphere on the dance floor.

Yes. Mood lighting/uplighting is available and can completely transform the appearance and atmosphere of your reception room for the evening.

It can be added to your wedding disco or is included as part of selected Wedding Disco Wales packages.

Yes. Wedding Disco Wales can also provide a photobooth alongside your wedding disco, giving your guests another fun part of the evening and some brilliant memories to take home.

Disco and photobooth packages are available together, with several options depending on what you would like for your wedding.

A £100 non-refundable deposit secures your wedding date.

Once the deposit has been received, your date is reserved for you and I’ll also send over your booking confirmation/invoice.

The remaining balance can be paid at any time up to one month before your wedding.

Because your date is reserved exclusively for your booking, I may have to turn away other enquiries for the same date. This is why the £100 deposit is non-refundable.

This is extremely unlikely, but I understand how important it is to know that your wedding entertainment is covered.

I have worked with a professional DJ agency for many years and also have reliable relationships with other experienced DJs.

In the very unlikely event that illness prevented me from attending, I have trusted backup options available to help ensure your wedding is still covered.

Yes. My electrical equipment is PAT tested and I carry Public Liability Insurance, as required by many professional wedding venues.

Documentation can be provided to your venue if required.
